University Recognition and Scholarships

High school students on the IB Diploma Programme take May exams at the end of last year of school. These exams are prepared and assessed by IBO. Students who have completed the programme and got diploma are granted subject credits which save them up to one year as well as they earn credit and exemption from freshman courses at university since they are regarded by the top universities as having obtained the necessary educational basis. It will give the students the chance of adding to their choice of prospective universities and increase their possibility of earning a scholarship.
In 75 countries, at over 2000 universities, IB diploma is valid to be accepted to the universities and diploma holders are granted subject credits depending on their diploma scores. In Turkey, applicants who wish to continue their education at a Turkish university have to still take the (YGS and LYS) university entrance examinations; and success in university entrance exam is also expected to be placed on the basis of this exam’s results.
